HALLOWEEN - radionica

Halloween is an old Celtic custom. The Celts celebrated the end of the summer part of the year. They believed that the dead walked the earth on that night so they left them some food and drink and wore costumes so the dead would not recognize them. They also lit big bonfires to scare the dead away. Nowadays Halloween is celebrated on the 31st October. People wear costumes and go trick-or-treating. They also carve pumpkins.

We the students of the fifth grade from Primary school Gorjani carved pumpkins at school for Halloween. The pumpkins were of different shapes and sizes. We made different scary faces on our pumpkins. When the pumpkins were finished, we turned off the lights, put the candle inside and lit it. It looked very scary. The teacher made photos of us and our pumpkins - the photo gallery is a must see. We hope to repeat this for the next Halloween.
